Meisner training in Leeds and online

For actors in the North of England who want to feel freedom and confidence in the depth of their acting craft.

Most actors know what it's like to be 'in their head' while they work: planning the next line, checking whether the last one landed. Meisner training deals with that directly. The Meisner technique teaches you to put your attention on the person in front of you and let what they do change what you do.

It takes time and it takes practice to build the craft of authenticity, which is what we strive for in the lab.

I'm Adam Stadius. I'm Deputy Head of the School of Drama at Leeds Conservatoire and I have been coaching actors ever since I graduated from the Central School of Speech and Drama. My Meisner journey began fifteen years ago when I first trained under Scott Williams at the Impulse Company, and I've followed the technique around the world, working with faculty from The Neighborhood Playhouse and the William Esper Studio.
